Niecy Nash tells daughter how she identified
Dia asked Niecy Nash how she identified before she married Jessica Betts.
In an exclusive clip from Tuesday's episode of The Tamron Hall Show, the comedian, 52, recalls when her 22-year-old daughter asked how she identified.
The actress says she told her daughter she identified as "Black and your mama," as the audience erupted in laughter.
'Girl, I'm more confused now. Unsure. I'd say I'm Jess-sexual in the moment "She points at her wife. "I've never seen anyone, male or female, like her. I'm unsure. I said, "Write that down" because I'm happy right now.
Nash: "My marriage has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with her soul." She's the most beautiful person I've met.
"I never suppressed my sexuality," she said of her decision to marry Betts. "I'm in love. I married twice and love those people. Today, I love her."
Nash told PEOPLE, "I've done everything my way." "My partner choice has nothing to do with who I am. Who I am now matters."
