Caleb McLaughlin has spoken about how he has experienced racism from Stranger Things fans.

The Carmel Hamlet, New York native, 20, plays Lucas Sinclair on the popular Netflix series.

At Heroes Comic Con Belgium over the weekend at Brussels Expo, he claimed he wondered why he had the fewest social media following and was the 'least favourite' among his costars.

He said thinking, 'I'm on the same show as everyone from season one' impacted him as a child.

He recalled one trying incident: 'My very first Comic-Con, some people didn't stand in my line because I was Black

'Some people told me, "Oh I didn't want to be in your line because you were mean to Eleven."

Even now, like some people don't follow me or don't support me because I'm Black,' he said.

McLaughlin opened up about the support he has received from his parents amid his stretch on the popular sci-fi series.
